After Idol
I can’t believe Season 8 of Idol is over! As someone who watched the talent pool each season, I think this year showcased the best contestants yet, and many of them will go on to make records. I am happy for both Kris and Adam because in my eyes they each won by staying true to themselves and continuously reinterpreting songs to fit them as artists. We worked together in the studio on the finale song, “No Boundaries,” and I can say they are genuinely great people who routed for one another. That says volumes about each of them and made me respect them even more. Next up, I am in the studio with Jason Castro, Leann Rimes and Leighton Meester….. keep checking back for more updates. I thank you all for your continued support this season!

Hey Kara,
I totally agree with you, this year’s Idol did showcase the best contestants yet. I’m looking forward to hearing what Adam, Danny, Alison and Kris have in store in particular. I’m sure you’ll probably work with some if not all of them and I look forward to seeing what you come up with creatively.
I don’t care what some people are saying about “No Boundaries.” For me, it was a perfect finale song. I’ve downloaded both Adam and Kris’s versions. I prefer Adam’s but then I am quite theatrical and emotional myself. I feel he not only sings the song but also delivers its message more, I think he feels the lyrics more deeply. However, I champion both of them and you’re so right when you say they’re genuinely great people. That comes across, as it does for you too.
Kara, you have shown nothing but genuine honesty and personality since you have been thrust into the celebrity limelight. I know you say you get stage fright and to be honest you can see it very slightly in your face from time to time but the minute it starts to creep up on you, you shoot it down. You compose yourself so respectfully in interviews and you are so articulate girl! You are bright and funny and you are nothing but true to yourself and others. I know some interview situations are awkward and pressurizing and sometimes you feel like you’re under attack from all angles. The View was quite a difficult one I’m sure and know people are attacking you for saying what you did about Adam. I think they should all back off personally. What you said came out of a difficult and high pressure situation. They were verging on bullying you Kara and I didn’t like that. I think you handled the unwelcome situation with diplomacy, grace and dignity and above all honesty and what you said was nothing but a truthful observation. I’m proud of the way you handled yourself in this situation. So just shut out all those nasty remarks about you outing Adam’s sexuality. You’re right, he was never in and we don’t need a press conference or event to mark the occasion. I don’t think Adam will care about what you said. He’s probably already called you up and told you not to worry about it. You know only too well the media like to cause a stir. I think you’re strong but even the strongest people get upset by it sometimes no matter how much they put on a brave face. So try not to let the press eat at you sweetie, you’re far better than them!
I’m looking forward to hearing some of the new material you have been working on with others in the studio and I’m also hoping that you might unleash some magic of your own on the world…not just your songwriting through others Kara but your voice. I’ve always loved your voice but now you’ve given America a taster of your vocal talent, it’s time to consider giving that recording artist dream another shot! Heck you can sign yourself :0)
So you’re getting married in July then. Huge congratualtions to you and Mike. I think I read somewhere that you’ll be wearing your Mum’s wedding dress. That’s so beautiful Kara. I know she’ll be watching over you on your big day with such pride and love. I wish you all the happiness for the future and I know you’re planning it all yourself so make sure you schedule time in that plan to enjoy it too!

Hey Kara…
I live in England but i have watched all the seasons and i totally agree that this season was the best and that the best contestants were this year. I thought the finale was great, and when you came out to sing with bikini girl i couldnt believe it… you sounded amazing and you did it all for charity whihc is amazing!!!
I just watched your interview on the ‘The View’ i thought you were great really as i felt like they were making you uncomfortable but you got your point across and you made some really strong and valid points..
In the interview you were on about not being a popstar your self and not having the chance.. i really think you should think about it… yuuv got an incredible voice and you are a very talented song writer…
Your lyrics mean soo much to me i really want to thank you, i have just recovered from an eating disorder myself, however i wouldnt eat. It was the darkest place i have been in, in my whole life and i really feel like you saved me and that you showed me the light. Knowing that you had recovered and got through your disorder pulled me through each day i cant thank you enough.

I don’t know what the story is with Adam. This is all showbiz. People get upset over the most ridicules things. Anyone can plainly see that Kara is merely stating what she see’s. She is purely honest. Your dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t. When your in the limelight, there will always be someone who will criticize. Kara is the most talented of them all and there will be jealous people and people with hard feelings. I am so happy to hear from Kara and now when I hear the songs she writes and co-writes, I think of her. Now I know the person behind these successful artists. Kara is multi-talented and she deserves all the recognition she gets. The educated and talented people know who she is and how talented she is. The other stuff is just BS from people who can’t recognize it and are in no way talented themselves. They speak through their own emotional hang ups. She treated everyone on idol the same and gave her expert opinion. Too bad some don’t like that. She is one of the best songwriters out there! Oh and the voice and looks? She’s got that too. I hope her fame soars and only wish her much happiness. I’m not a fan of kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion or any of the other artists she works with. I’m a Kara Fan! The one responsible for all the fame and talented writing. The real person behind these successful songs. Go Kara! xxoo
PS. Oh and handling herself in situations? She couldn’t do any better. It just comes natural. Stay just the way you are. F those other people! They are meaningless…

Kara you rocked on idol. you skooled bikini girl you rock. Can’t beleive the season is already over i’ll miss seeing you on tv. you sing so well. I was saying oh no when bikini girl sang it was painful. Then when you walked out i was all like woooooooooooooooooooooooooow i was so happy please sing next season 2. awesomeness. love the finale song no clue why people don’t like it . Go Kara.

I love what you did on this season.
Some people say that there’s no need for 4th judge. But you came along, and I really think that you really did a great job this season. Love the way you judges. And I hope you will coming back on the next season.
And about this season, I love Adam! And you know what, I’m obsessed with him, literally.

You are an amazing songwriter and singer! As someone that loves music and plays 5 instruments you are my biggest inspiration!! I really hope you will be on Idol next year or I might just stop watching!
From a very young age, music has been life. after finding out more about you I went back and looked at some older songs I would listen to when I was like 8 and realized you had written ALL of my favourite ones!! So really I’ve been a fan since day one!
I can’t stop listening to your songs their kind of addicting!!
By the way, you should really try and bring some of your songs like Terrified to iTunes they would probably do really well!
